Fortunately for you, I just set down my cocktail, drug my lazy ass off the beach, and plopped down in front of the computer to remind you that our lives suck far less than yours. While you were back in the office bright and early this Monday morning and last, we’ve still been marinating on the coast of Idontgiveafuck. So how about this for a deal, instead of being the typical Internet leach that you are, do us a favor and send us a post so we can continue muff gazing on the beach. Its not like you are actually working.

Winning gets expensive. Especially New York Yankees style winning. With a payroll over $220 million, the Yanks have to pay nearly $25.7 million in luxury taxes for crossing the payroll threshold in baseball’s collective bargaining agreement. For a little perspective, this tax is larger than the Pittsburgh Pirates TOTAL payroll this year.

Everybody get get their DVR’s ready.  Legendary NBA player and current overall master, Charles Barkley, has been tapped to host the January 9th episode of Saturday Night Live on NBC.  Barkley’s last “SNL” hosting gig was on the show’s 19th season premiere, which aired Sept. 25, 1993.  We can only hope that he gets drunk before the show and tries to get a derb on live TV.

Former Kansas City Chiefs star Tony Gonzalez is struggling to sell his Manhattan Beach, CA home. Last year the Atlanta Falcons tight end put the house on the market for $3.999 million. Now the price is down to $3.6 million and Gonzalez is offering a new Porsche 911 Cabriolet within 10 days of the close if he receives a full-price offer. According to People magazine, Tiger Woods and a group of his friends have taken to the high sea on Tiger’s 155 ft. yacht, ironically named Privacy, and are headed for the Bahamas. “On Saturday morning, after stocking up on provisions from Costco on Northlake Blvd., the boat left town,” said a source. New rumors are indicating that Elin Nordegren may not be divorcing Tiger immediately following the holidays as previously thought. Other sources have indicated that Michael Barrett has rented a dingy and plans to follow Privacy to the Bahamas in hopes of snapping a few shots of Tiger’s black mamba.
